HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and will enjoy ringing in the new year tonight! We had an amazing Christmas! We were able to spend time with lots of family; although we did miss a few faces :( (you all know who you are!), despite the awful driving conditions Chrstmas day. Well today we're going snowboarding and then Tonight Matt and Spencer and I are heading over to my parents for our traditional New Year's Eve party! I'm so excited because it is one of the events I look forward to the most every year! As most of you know I'm half El Salvadoran so my crazy mom and grandma are insistent upon participating in the traditions they have since they were little! Now I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE these traditions but they are a LITTLE quirky.Lets just say that one of these traditions involves 12 RED grapes(green grapes would be blasphemous) and a warning before hand due to possible choking hazard. I can't believe this year is already over! I know everyone says this but it honestly went by so ridiculously fast. Next year matt and I will have been married for two years. TWO YEARS! It feels like we JUST got married:) I guess that's a good thing right?lol. We'll I guess since I haven't posted anyhting since August an update is in order. I'm still workng for Jordan School District and absolutely LOVE it! I have always been so determined to work in the medical setting as a Speech-Language pathologist but after this experience don't know I might stay in the educational setting. I Love collaborating with the teachers and most importantly I LOVE working with the kids! They are so sweet, funny and unpredictable, you NEVER know what they're going to do or say! I'm still aching to get some more professional experience in the medical setting though so we'll see. Paul moved back to Alabama like a week and a half ago so that was really sad for me because it was before christmas, but I know that he really wants to be in Alabama with Momma so I'll pretend to be happy:) But it's okay Spencer hasn't abandoned us yet so we're good. Matt is still working and going to school, he changed his major from nursing to respiratory therapy so it's been a really exciting time for him! I submitted my application for grad school to the U lastnight and am applying to Utah State in the next couple of weeks so I'm getting really anxious because I won't hear back from schools until like February and March, but I 'll live. I know life is so crazy right now but I hope all of you are doing well and have a happy and healthy New year!

Finally!

So we're finally giving in to blogging! I say "we're" in hopes that matt will actually post some stuff :) I'm really excited to start doing this so that we can keep in touch with friends and family and update everyone on how we're doing! For those of you who don't know Matt and I currently live in Sugarhouse, and we love it! we loved Layton but it's so nice to be closer to more of our family and friends (although we DO miss Leah and Jason!). We also have two new "roomies", matt's younger Brothers Spencer and Paul! So be expecting updates on them too! As of now Spencer is working with Matt at UPS freight whcih is nice because they have the exact same schedule so they can carpool. And Paul just started his Senior year at West Jordan High and is working at Papa John's! Matt is still working REALLY hard in school and I'm LOVING my new job with Jordan District:) I'll be working full time this whole year and then my status will change to part-time Intern once I start Grad school next fall. So we are all keeping SUPER busy, but I'll keep you all posted with all of the wackyness that is sure to ensue in our household! I'll try my hardest to post at least once a week so please feel free to comment so we can all keep in touch:)
