Isn't it a pity...

Sometimes I have to stop and just ask myself " okay, have I thought about anyone other than myself today?", "Have I been judgemental or unnecessarily rude or snippy toward someone?". I think it's interesting how we get so caught up in our own lives and have the tendency to forget about other people or mistreat them without even realizing that were doing it. I know these are just total ramblings but I guess this is mostly a reminder for myself. A reminder to think of others, to be kind, to NOT be judgmental and to treat others with respect. Respect for their religion, their race, their social status, their overall being. And most importantly to take the time and make the effort to help someone, no matter how small the deed. Matt and I love the song "Isn't it a pity" by George Harrison and were listening to it today and it obviously got me thinking...and rambling. So for those of you who don't know it here are the lyrics...

Isn't it a pityNow, isn't it a shame

How we break each other's hearts

And cause each other pain

How we take each other's love

Without thinking anymore

Forgetting to give back

Isn't it a pity

Some things take so long

But how do I explain

When not too many people, Can see we're all the same

And because of all their tears, Their eyes can't hope to see

The beauty that surrounds them

Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a shame

How we break each other's hearts

And cause each other pain

How we take each other's love

Without thinking anymore

Forgetting to give back

Isn't it a pity

LOVE this post!!! George wrote the best stuff in his later years.... well he always wrote such good deep music that stops and make you think! *sigh* sure wish he was still around to make good music! My fave will always be while my guitar gently weeps!
